The intercollegiate athletic program competes at the NCAA Division I level in the West Coast Conference. Pilot teams are consistently competitive. Recent achievements include three NCAA Final Four appearances by the women’s soccer team, twenty straight West Coast Conference men’s cross country titles, ten women’s cross country conference titles and four NCAA tournament appearances in five years by the women’s basketball team.
The sixteen athletic programs compiled a 3.06 grade point average with 25% named to the Dean's List.
Athletic facilities include the 5,000 seat Chiles Center for basketball and volleyball, Merlo Field, the 5,000 seat soccer stadium, 1500 seat Pilot Stadium, home of the baseball team, and the indoor-outdoor Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center.
