Sports Profile
The University of Bridgeport athletic program competes on the NCAA Division II level and is a member of the 12 school New Yorl Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC).
Athletic facilities include: the 2000 seat Harvey Hubbell Gymnasuim (men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball); the Wheeler Recreation Center which boasts a 25 meter, 6 lane pool, four raquetball courts, four multi-purpose indoor courts for tennis, volleyball and basketball, a free-weight room, and an indoor track; The Harbor Yard Stadium located less than a mile from the University where Bridgeport's Baseball team plays their home contests. The Stadium is the home of the Bridgeport Bluefish Minor League baseball team; Seaside Park located adjacent to the University houses several athletic fields and is home to the Men's and Women's Soccer teams as well as the women's softball team.
