The eleven-course core curriculum consists of courses in natural sciences, social sciences, English composition, mathematics, religious studies, and humanities as well as a first-year seminar. To fulfill departmental requirements, students must complete from eight to twelve courses in their major field of study. For graduation with Departmental Honors, students are required to complete a two-course sequence of independent study culminating in a written thesis, which must be orally defended, and to maintain averages of at least 3.0 overall and 3.5 in their major field.

The Regis College faculty consists of 66 full-time members and 48 part-time members, 100 percent of whom hold advanced degrees. In addition to carrying out research and publishing within their individual fields, faculty members at Regis possess a highly developed commitment to teaching. Each student has a faculty adviser to assist with course selection. A student-faculty ratio of 12:1 enables each student to receive personal attention, support, and academic advice.

Students may also study abroad in programs in many countries, including England, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and Spain. The Washington Semester, sponsored by the American University in Washington, D.C., provides students with an intensive program involving course work, research, seminars, and internships in government offices. The preparation for entrance should include 4 years of English, 2 years of foreign language, 3 years of mathematics, 2 years of laboratory science, 2 years of social science, and three or four electives. International students must submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and a Declaration of Finance form.
