Alverno College's 40-acre campus is located in a residential area on the south side of Milwaukee, with easy access to recreational opportunities and entertainment. The College is a 15-minute drive from downtown Milwaukee, which features museums, theaters, galleries, shopping malls, and some of the country's finest ethnic restaurants. The city offers major cultural, athletic, and civic events that provide an additional educational and recreational dimension for students. Founded by the School Sisters of St. Francis, the College has a diverse student body and welcomes students of all religious, racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds from all geographic areas. There are currently 1,950 students enrolled.
Cardinal Stritch University is a comprehensive, coeducational institution rooted in the liberal arts and also established in the Catholic tradition. Since its founding in 1937 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, Stritch has emerged as the largest Franciscan institution of higher education in North America and the second-largest private university in Wisconsin. The main campus, built in the early 1960s, houses a three-story residence hall, which is connected to several academic buildings and allows residents easy and climate-controlled access to many of the University's modern facilities. The student union, field house, bookstore, and auditorium are anchored by the Alfred S. Kliebhan Great Hall, where students study, visit with friends, or simply relax. Serra Dining Hall provides buffet-style meals with numerous menu selections. Cardinal Stritch University's 40-acre, parklike main campus is situated in a quiet suburban neighborhood just north of Milwaukee. Downtown Milwaukee is a short, 15-minute drive from campus, while access to Lake Michigan is available within several blocks. The campus is conveniently accessible from Interstate 43, which offers a direct, easy route to Mitchell International Airport, the downtown Amtrak train station, and the Greyhound bus depot. The Milwaukee County Transit System provides students with a public transportation option when they are involved in off-campus pursuits. Interstate 43 also is a link to the excitement of downtown, which is home to numerous ethnic and American restaurants, specialty retailers, a downtown mall, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Milwaukee Public Museum, several conference and performance centers, and various professional theater groups. Sports fans have the opportunity to cheer on the Brewers, Bucks, Wave, Admirals, Rampage, and Mustangs. In the summer and fall, Milwaukee becomes the "City of Festivals" and is host to approximately a dozen lakefront festivals, including Summerfest, which is one of the largest music festivals in the world.

Nearby are the Bradley Center, the Midwest Express Center, the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, the theater district, churches of most denominations, major hotels and office buildings, restaurants, and department stores. The Carroll College campus is located in the city of Waukesha, a residential community of 64,000 people, which is 18 miles west of Milwaukee and 100 miles north of Chicago. The College's proximity to these two major urban centers and to the settings associated with Wisconsin's famous outdoor sports and leisure activities provides Carroll students with numerous opportunities for recreation, entertainment, and enrichment.
The Medical College of Wisconsin is the academic heart of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus. The College and its affiliates form the only academic medical center in eastern Wisconsin. The Medical College is located on a suburban 248 acre, park-like campus, only two minutes from the freeway that links it to downtown Milwaukee, the lake country west of the city, and the population centers of Southeastern Wisconsin. The distinctive campus, known as the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center (MRMC), features a number modern facilities.
