The Dallas Educational Experience

The eighth largest city in the United States offers students countless opportunities for learning experiences, internships and future employment since Dallas is a major center for business, industry, finance, medicine, high technology, fashion, transportation, advertising and filmaking.

The University of Texas at Dallas is located in the suburb of Richardson. The campus sits among the second-largest concentration of high technology companies providing co-op programs for students.

The University of Dallas is a small, Catholic, liberal arts and sciences university situated about 12 miles from downtown Dallas on a 744-acre expanse of rolling hills and woodlands. Students take advantage of the University's close proximity to Dallas and its many entertainment opportunities, including dining, sports, movies, cultural events, and nightlife. The stimulation of the classroom often motivates extracurricular activities, as well as many events such as the lecture and film series, art exhibitions, plays, and musical events.

Located 5 miles north of downtown Dallas, Southern Methodist University offers the tranquility of a suburban campus and a pleasant, year-round Sun Belt climate.

Next door to Dallas, Fort Worth is also home to some of America's largest corporations including Radio Shack, American Airlines and Lockheed Martin. It is also home to one of the finest museums in the Southwest, the Kimbell Art Museum. The Fort Worth cultural district includes Casa Manana and the Museum of Science and Natural History. The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs and the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars and the Dallas Mavericks are all close by. The Fort Worth Zoo is one minute from the TCU campus. Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor are only a short drive away.

The Texas Christian University campus rolls across some 250 picturesque tree-lined acres and within sixty buildings, from the traditional yellow-bricked neo-Georgians to a few angular ultra-modern creations. Students find a diverse learning community offering nearly 100 undergraduate majors across seven colleges: business, communication, education, fine arts, health and human sciences, humanities and social sciences, and physical sciences and engineering.
