The students enjoy the convenience of large living rooms, kitchens in which they can cook their own meals and 1 to 1 1/2 bathrooms. For those who do not wish to cook their own meals, a campus cafeteria can provide meals. An expansive addition that will house a fitness center and full-sized gymnasium will be built soon. Students also enjoy nearby facilities that are within walking distance to the campus, including restaurants, shops, a grocery store, a pharmacy and a state park. Recreation can be found in a number of places, starting with sports facilities, which range from tennis and basketball courts to soccer and softball fields. Admission Requirements
Applicants for admission are individually evaluated. A successful candidate should have completed a college-preparatory sequence that includes 4 years of English and 2+ years of math. The criteria reviewed when a student applies to Goldey-Beacom College include test scores, previous academic performance and, if desired by the applicant, an interview. Students are required to submit results of the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for international students or the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) for the M.B.A. program. Our rolling admission allows students more time to complete the application process. There are, however, scholarship deadlines that may force students to submit these materials in advance. Placement tests in mathematics will be required. Scores from these tests will be used to determine placement in mathematics courses; additionally, placement tests in English and reading may be required to assign appropriate admission status. The Application for Admission (and accompanying non-refundable $30 application fee) can be submitted to the Office of Admissions by mail or in person.
