College Description 
Embry-Riddle is an independent, non-sectarian, not-for-profit, co-educational university with a history dating back to the early days of aviation. Embry-Riddle, Prescott serves students interested in pursuing careers in aviation and aerospace. The campus is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award degrees at the bachelor and master’s levels. The bachelor’s degree programs in aerospace engineering and electrical engineering are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Embry-Riddle, Prescott is located in the beautiful, rural, mile-high city of Prescott. The campus is approximately 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, AZ 260 miles south of Las Vegas, NV, and 375 miles east of Los Angeles, CA. Embry-Riddle, Prescott is culturally diverse with students representing 48 states and 32 countries for a combined total of approximately 1725 students. Embry-Riddle, Prescott is comprised entirely of undergraduate students.

Academic Life 
Embry-Riddle, Prescott offers a number of degrees dealing with aviation and aerospace. There are three academic divisions within the Prescott campus: the College of Engineering, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Aviation Sciences. Embry-Riddle follows the semester system with fall classes starting at the beginning of September and the spring semester ending at the beginning of May.
Embry-Riddle, Prescott students have the opportunity to participate in our co-operative education program. This program works with companies to set up internships for Embry-Riddle students. These internships can take place over the summers, or during either the fall or spring semesters.

In addition to learning on campus and in industry, Embry-Riddle, Prescott has several study abroad and exchange programs. Our students have the opportunity to spend a semester studying in Australia, Brazil, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Korea, or Wales. Embry-Riddle, Prescott also participates in the Global Engineering Education Exchange, which allows students to travel to Asia, Australia, Europe, or Mexico.

Campus life at Embry-Riddle, Prescott is lively and offers you may opportunities to meet students who live both at and beyond the residence halls. Throughout the year, a wide variety of professional entertainment is provided by the Student Activities Association, such as drama, music, and magic. Faculty and guest speakers are invited to cover topics such as computer security, satellites and space, global economics, changes in general aviation regulations, and the design of top-secret aircraft.

Facilities and Resources 
Embry-Riddle, Prescott has many unique facilities on campus. The most significant of these are the King Engineering and Technology Center, the Wind Tunnel Laboratory, the new Residence Halls, and the Robertson Aviation Safety Center.
The King Engineering and Technology Center (KETC) is used primarily by CE, CS, and EE students. The Wind Tunnel Laboratory is used primarily by the AE students. The Wind Tunnel Laboratory includes 4 wind tunnels: 1 closed-circuit tunnel used to test AE design projects, 2 open-circuit tunnels used for theory and testing gliders, and 1 super-sonic tunnel used for theory. Residence halls house approximately 300 students in both apartments and suites. These halls also have large lounge areas and full size kitchens. Embry-Riddle is the only university with its own aviation accident investigation laboratory designed for crash scene re-creation. This laboratory is located at the Robertson Aviation Safety Center.

Athletics/Sports 
Embry-Riddle, Prescott sponsors two intercollegiate sports teams as well as several club and intramural sports. Embry-Riddle competes as an Independent school in the Far West Region of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Students may also play on the soccer or rugby club teams that compete both locally and regionally. Students and faculty alike enjoy the intramural sports on campus. These sports include badminton, basketball, billiards, flashball, floor hockey, ping-pong, racquetball, softball, tennis, and volleyball. The athletic facilities on campus include two gymnasiums, an athletic field, a weight room, an aerobic room, tennis courts, racketball courts, a pool, sand volleyball courts, and several running trails.

Financial Aid 
Students and their families find many sources of aid available to assist with paying the costs of a private university; more than 70 percent of students receive financial assistance. Embry-Riddle participates in all national and state assistance programs. The completion of the Department of Education’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forma assures students consideration for these funds. In addition, Embry-Riddle Prescott provides assistance in the form of on-campus jobs, academic scholarships or grants, and veteran’s educational benefits. Financing options such as an interest free, monthly payment plan are also available.

Admission Requirements 
Each student receives individual consideration for admission based upon a variety of factors and circumstances. Completion of the Embry-Riddle, Arizona Application for Admissions begins this process; official transcripts and score reports for either the SAT I or ACT should be submitted. Files will be evaluated once all documents are received. No interview is required. Application deadlines are 30 days prior to the semester the student would like to enroll, but it is highly recommended that applications be submitted as soon as possible to take the utmost advantage of scholarship opportunities. Notification takes place throughout the year.
