Overview
Bronx Community College has long enjoyed a reputation for opportunity and innovation. It is your “Gateway to Success” where you will join a winning team that will help and support you as you make the most of your talents and ambitions.

Our traditional American, tree-lined, 52-acre campus located on the highest natural peak in New York both a classical ambience designed by American architects Stanford White and the modern majesty of French architect Marcel Breuer. Our student body reflects the diversity of New York City; we serve more than 6,000 students from 80 foreign countries. Bronx Community College was cited by the U.S. Department of Education for awarding the highest number of Associate’s degree to minorities.

Nearly half of all BCC students hold full-time or part-time jobs and 50% have children. The support services at the college-child care, tutoring counseling, enhance the opportunity for success. We have parking, playing fields, library, computer centers and on and off campus cultural activities.

We have an impressive Continuing and Professional Studies (CPAA) division offering noncredit certificate programs, customized training programs for business and industry as well as over 200 courses designed for adults, teens and children. CPS has a strong customer oriented support staff and highly qualified teachers, many recognized in their fields. We put a lot of effort into meeting each student’s specific needs, from completing a certificate program to making a career change to pursuing a creative or academic interest.

Programs
Adults who want to earn degrees we refer to the appropriate advisors in the credit division. For those who wish to enroll in the Continuing & Professional Studies courses or programs should begin by registering for classes (which are describes on the following pages). Course offerings changes every semester. Classes are typically held on the Bronx Community College campus. However, some semesters we offer additional sections at community-based satellite centers. Business and Industry professional and employers who wish to have customized training packages offered here or at your workplace should begin by calling Ms. Chan Baldeo at (718) 289-5175 to set up an appointment.

Non-Credit Programs
The Office of Continuing & Professional Studies at Bronx Community College offers a variety of non-degree certificate programs emphasizing Academic Skills Development including GED and GED in Spanish,, Allied Health, Business & Professional Development, Building Maintenance & Repair offered in English and Spanish, Computer Technology, English-As-A- Second Language Academy training, and so much
More! We are an approved CISCO training academy and offer frequently scheduled workshops including, Business Development and Management, Career Development, Resume Preparation, Senior Housing Alternative, Solar Energy. These workshops are offered at least once during every semester and again in the summer

Continuing Education Units
Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) will be awarded to qualified students upon successful completion of specific intermediate and advanced courses. CEU’s are an important part of your professional development portfolio and are required to maintain licensure and certification in a variety of professions.

Children's Program
We offer a variety of courses geared for elementary and middle school children and teens. One of our most popular courses for teens is the Certified Babysitter Training course. We offer SAT and ACT test preparation. Our children’s program offers help in reading, math and opens the doors to drawing, painting and solar technology. We have small group tutoring for both children and teens.

Applying
We have three convenient ways to register:
1) Mail-in Registration – Registration forms are on the back page of our catalogue. You are required to complete the application and attached your check or money order made payable to the college.

2) Fax registration – Complete registration form on back of catalogue and fax it to us with your credit card information. We except Visa/Master and debts cards with Visa/Master logos.

3) Telephone Registration – Have the registration form handy to provide course number, course name, etc., along with your Visa or MasterCard number and expiration date.

Costs
Tuition cost varies. Financial Aid is not available. We do except third-party-payments and vouchers.
